What do I use to lubricate and moisten material-backed teak accordion doors? I've already used teak oil but it didn't seem to do much except improve the appearance of the teak. The doors work very hard and have broken twice, so I'm really looking for something to make them run smoothly and to keep the backing moist so it doesn't dry out so much.

I am looking to replace a sliding patio door with French doors.? I am confused about the different materials that the doors are made from. The door will not be directly exposed to any weather as it will be between the entrance to a unheated/uncooled sunroom. How much would it cost to pay someone to replace all of my interior doors? I am interested in the approximate cost to pay someone (materials + labor) to replace 10 interior doors? The doors are the cardboard or extremely thin type and I would like to replace them with a basic 4 or 5 panel door.
How do I fix my internal doors? They were unevenly shaved off on top and leave gaps in places.? Is there any material that can be used to build up the doors to make them even again? This became apparent when I had foundation work done and the house was raised - instead of fixing the foundation, the previous owner had the doors shaved to fit - and now of course they're showing gaps on top and not fitting at all! what is the compound used by new home builders for sealing doors to the brick? after two years, the caulking compound is cracking up and i need to seal it but cannot seem to find the right product to seal the crack now showing on the edge of the patio door where it meets the brick. material is not hard, feels like glazing but I am not sure what it is or where i can buy it.

Estimated cost please to fit new door jambs into rough openings and hang 6 engineered internal pine doors? Obviously the hinges and lever locks (not tubular latches) need to be furnished to the doors. All doors, metal furnishings and jamb materials have already been purchased. No architraving needed as doing this by myself. How much should I pay for the labour on this ? Any chippies out there for this one? To be clear, the question is not for "guesses" on cost of hardware because as already stated in the question I have already purchased the hardware and materials for the job. I am therefore asking what a reasonable labour cost might be for this project.
Removing a wall and found a old set of doors? So there was a wall in our home that has been wall papered since we moved in. Only one wall on the end of a large room. We finally got the nerve when the misses left for a few days to take it down. Well behind it we found that most of the wall was (as we thought) dry wall. however, all the bordering (about 1 ft from the other walls and ceiling) are plaster as the rest of the house. We also found that there used to be a set of sliding glass doors there leading to a large but seldom used side porch (interesting, hmm?) anyways The Question is!: The plaster and drywall were covered with the same paper-material? It appears the plaster underneath the paper is textured as the rest of the plaster in the room. But I am a little iffy about pulling off the paper to check. (I am not sure if it is just some paper attached to the outside of the plaster like a drywall type build? Any idea if that was a normal application in about the 80's would be a great go-ahead to taking down the paper. Thanks!

Can I paint my kitchen cabinets that are made of panel board; the outside doors look just like wall panel? I want to paint them burgundy or merlot since the floor is taupe. I had the panel walls painted last summer and they look great. Sound waves need air to exist & various objects are made up various materials but what are thoughts made of ? Music needs air to exist and travel. In space/vacuum there cant be any music/sound waves. Similarly all objects are made up of various materials. Door from wood, tumbler from glass, toy from plastic etc. also various materials are made up of various molecules. Light is made up of photons. Animals and creatures are made up flesh & bones. Etc. However, every person is always thinking various thoughts. Some times he is thinking of music he heard before & enjoys its playback in mind. Some other time he is thinking of various objects , people, food etc. Now the question is what these mental objects are made up of. You can measure the properties of real objects but how do we measure properties of mental objects in thoughts. On what ground these mental objects exist? Some one will say MIND but we dont see nor we can handle mind as a measurable object. By the existance of thoughts only we can imagine existence of mind. So how do we go about controlling the existence of mental objects? Let us see what are desires. When we listen to a song it remains in the memory of brain. After a while that song starts playing back again and again, why? because we have labeled it with pleasure and the human nature is , to repeat the pleasure. And that is what is desire. Over the time the song we heard becomes fainter and fainter in the recall. But the desire to repeat it remains. When the recall becomes very faint we again play the song and the memory becomes fresh again. Thats how we enjoy songs we heard long before. Shall we say that the chemical reactions responsible for the recall are getting weaker? If it is so what kind of reactions are these. If we understand how the memory functions and if we are able to control it, one day it would be possible to understand something as easy as uploading a data file. But alas, it is not so. We cannot transfer mental objects/ideas unless we experience them or imagine them by reading or listening/speaking. incognito : I know buddha has said about clinging and craving as main causes for the continuum of life, but , is it not theoretical when buddha has asked us to follow what we experience and to experience these deep truths is a different matter. It means that the sights and sounds are basically ideas , the comprehension of the outside signals as understood by us. But what I am not able to understand is that a song being played in an mp3 player can be copied , similarly a video also, but the sights and sounds we hear in mind cannot. Can we plug a cable to brain and copy that song. :-) In case the sight and sounds in thoughts are merely ideas, it means that the mind converts them into ideas and plays them at will. intriguing.
I have a plain IKEA bookshelf. How can I add colorful doors to it? Instead of a metal garage door I am going to attempt two outward opening ones I have done all the measuring up and the materials are coming tomorrow. Can anyone give me any tips or advice ? Tuning my subs to stop my windows and doors from rattling? On long bass notes everything in my car shakes and its real annoying. Is there any way on my amp I can tune it were it will filter out those frequencies? Also is there common frequencies that make things just rattle ?
