Is it possible to replace the glass in sliding glass doors? We have four sets of sliding glass doors- ALL of which, are fogged in-between the double-panes. Rather than rip out the entire doors, it certainly SEEMS like there should be a way to simply remove the glass from the "C" shaped aluminum frame and replace it with another glass assembly. I've removed the entire glass 'sandwich' from the frame before- so I know it's possible... but no one locally seems to know who could provide the replacement assembly. And, of course, I have absolutely NO idea of the doors' original manufacturer. Ideas/suggestions anyone?

How do I keep the clear glass shower doors clean? I use the water softening solution spray (Shaklee's) on the doors, but after a few showers the class gets cloudy and not clear. I like Shaklee's because it's non-toxic and environmentally friendly. But my schedule is very busy and I don't get time to wipe it every time. I was wondering whether there was a clever solution to keep the clear glass doors clear, other than wiping and washing the class doors after each shower use?

Does Anyone Know about glass doors and the hardware? I have 2 glass doors in my entertainment center, I need to know if they make some kind of locking mechanism for this type of door. Can I burn a fire with glass fireplace doors closed? I have a 52 year old house with an old fireplace that was once converted to gas, and has now been converted back to wood burning. Last year when we tried to use it, everytime our furnace kicked on we got headaches. Our air intake is directly opposite our fireplace and I am afraid it is pulling smoke into the house. I think installing glass doors will solve this problem. I saw another question that said this is fine so long as you open your bottom vents? What are bottom vents? my sliding glass doors were installed upside down. How do I fix this? All of the sliding patio doors in my condo complex were installed upside down. That means that my sliding glass door is on the outside and the screen on the inside. I want to install a a pet door but I am having a hard time making it work while still being able to use and lock both doors.
